Where to even begin? This place is a local staple in Kew Gardens. The food is absolutely DEVINE. I have had everything from the churrasco steak to the chuletas fritas. Either one is a win! I am a creature of habit so I more than likely pair this with the yellow rice 😋(soooo good), whatever beans are served that day and of course the beans of the day. The white sauce is a MUST! Thank me later for the warning-this sauce is irresistibly DEELISH! You will not be able to stop yourself from putting it on your entire meal. I hear the green sauce is equally good if not better. If you suffer from GERD stay away from it. The sangria is to die for! It is sneaky. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya. The owners are absolutely lovely people. If you are lucky you will be welcomed by Mr. Alba himself. Has a warm smile and frequents the establishment often ensuring patrons are satisfied. His daughter Giselle is absolutely lovely too. Soft spoken, patient and just like her dad always has a smile to go with the best service. This place does not disappoint. If you can wait, the experience is even better in the warmer months. You can sit outside, take in the sights, enjoy the warmth as the sangria elevates the moment to new heights.

I think is just an expensive lunch place 😅 I came to try some Ceviche but after reading a reviews regarding expired seafood I didnt want to play dice. Instead, I played safe and had a Corvina Frita. It was good but the fish, rice and beans lacked some flavor. I had to put salt in it. Regarding the pico de gallo that came with the fish, the onions were still not cooked properly and were spicy. I dont see myself going again, but I cant say I will never return. It was a fair lunch place for $34 (not including tip)

I was dying for some authentic Peruvian food and a few friends told me I HAD to check out TuCasa. Best decision ever! From the second I walked in, the vibe was so welcoming and everyone was incredibly nice. The service really made the night—the guy was super attentive and I just let him take the lead with recommendations. We started with a Pisco Sour that was perfectly balanced, and the fried calamari was so fresh. But seriously, the Skirt steak was insane! I paired it with the Mixed Chaufa and I’m still thinking about it. To wrap it all up, Gilmer suggested the guava tres leches, and honestly? 10/10 Everything was spectacular. If you’re looking for top-tier Peruvian food and just great vibes, you have to come here. I’m definitely coming back!
